David Lee Transfers to Golden State WarriorsWith LeBron James off the board, the New York Knicks started refilling their schedule Thursday night by carrying out a multiplayer trade built around David Lee. Lee is going to the Golden State Warriors in a sign-and-trade deal, in replace for Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike. Lee will receive a six-year contract which includes $80 million. The deal was not announced immediately. But Mark Bartelstein who is the agent of Lee confirmed the parameters of the deal.

Randolph, who is a promising 6-foot-10 forward and was drafted 14th over all in 2008, is the key. The forward turns 21 next week and has shown irregular flashes of prominence. Randolph is successful in the open court and a great finisher at the rim. But as a shooter he is not good at all and knows little about playing under control. He missed most of last season because of different injuries. On the other hand Turiaf is a solid inner defender and jostle player. Azubuike is a very good shooter. But both of them missed some of the matches in the last season due to injury. Especially Turiaf was the one to miss most of the games.

The Knicks have 12 players with three second-round picks who will possibly be signed to non-guaranteed contracts. Thus they are arranging their team.
