On June 9, 2010 ELLE the, no. 1 fashion magazine in the world will host its first-ever Women in Music Event at New York City’s Highline Ballroom along with their sponsors; Havaianas, Fructis, Belvedere and Garnier. Elle will celebrate Women in Music on its July issue. In line with this celebration Elle has invited performers like Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Kelis, The Like, and DJ Justine D and they invited famous female artists to comprise their third annual portfolio on Women in Music. Some of the artists are RNB singer Rihanna, Ke$ha, Hailey Williams (from Paramore), Christina A, and Kelis to name a few.

Robbie Myers, ELLE’s Editor-in-Chief says that “ELLE has always been a huge advocate of strong, talented, and powerful women and has consistently covered music throughout all sections of the magazine. I am thrilled to finally bring the Women in Music portfolio to life in what is to become a yearly event.”
