The co-founder of Facebook and its chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg has started slaughtering animals with his own bare hands. Recently, he has vowed to only consume meat which comes from animals that he killed. This new and grisly goal is what the 27-year old billionaire calls as his personal challenge to make himself better.
So far, he has already killed lobsters, chickens, a goat and a pig. However, due to Zuckerberg’s monstrous task of running Facebook, he rarely has the time to hunt and kill his own prey.This resulted to an almost vegetarian diet.
“I am eating a lot healthier foods. And I’ve learned a lot about sustainable farming and raising of animals,” he says.
Instead of sticking to the standard cuts of meat people buy at the market, Zuckerberg and his girlfriend, Priscilla Chan, only eat as much of the slain animal as they can. This variety of meat includes chicken liver and heart, and the feet, which are heated to make stock.
Silicon Valley chef Jesse Cool has been guiding Zuckerberg’s deadly hand. Cool runs the Flea Street Cafe in Menlo Park, California, and has become acquainted with the social media baron. She has introduced
Zuckerberg to local farmers who supply him with critter victims he uses. They have also taught him how to kill chicken, pig and goat, according to reports.
“He cut the throat of the goat with a knife, which is the kindest way to do it,” Cool shared.
Every year, Zuckerberg sets himself with a new task or challenge. Last year, he spent an hour a day learning to speak Chinese Mandarin.
