Paypal Incorporation on Android Devices, Google and Verizon Strikes Deal for Good Reason Google and eBay are discussing the possibilities of incorporating Paypal as a payment method for Android devices. This was reported by Bloomberg last Friday. If an agreement is made, applications for Android devices can now be paid for using Paypal, and this will be available for as early as the end of this year.

For now, payment for paying for Google Apps is through credit card, or through Google Check, which is Google’s counterpart for Paypal. On the other hand, Paypal is already available in Android devices, and other smartphone devices as well, for mobile related payments. This new form of incorporation, when agreed upon, will allow a stronger integration of Paypal to the device. This will be similar to the integration of the iTunes store for Apple devices.

In other news, although Google and Verizon’s deal striking for net neutrality have sparked a lot of outrage from net activists, there is actually a good reason why this has been done by both companies.

Protesters claim that phone carriers like Verizon, when given the power could then penalize for a lot of bandwidth use, making startup websites suffer. However, from the carrier’s perspective, payment for maintenance of traffic system overwhelm is just one of the good reasons why this is necessary.
